The Nigerian music industry has experienced numerous phases, delivering extraordinary talents right from way back till now. A ton of artists came to the spotlight and shook the music industry with extraordinary tunes yet unexpectedly vanished from the scene. Here is the rundown of Nigerian artists that seems to have faded away.

Take it or leave it, pop singer, Oluwafemi Oladapo (Slimcase), popularly known as Otunba lamb rep the street to the fullest with his style of music. Born in ikorodu, Lagos, He was schooled and raised by the streets, recorded his first-ever song in 2011 but became a household name after a feature on the popular track oshozondi. He went further to release songs like shepeteri, maje Omo, Issa banger, and a lot more; but ever since 2019, slimcase has been struggling to break through the music scene with emerging street acts such as Bella, jamopyper, badboytimz etc.
Idowest whose real name is Adekunle Idowu is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter born on November 2, 1992 in Lagos state. He was raised in Lagos Island where he became part of the local music gang known as MAFIA Gang.
He rose to stardom with his colleague’s suitcase on the “shepeteri” song and has worked with different music stars across the likes of Olamide, Dammy Krane, and Jaywon. He was expected to keep the pace after he got signed to the famous DMW record label, he only got featured in some dmw songs but hasn’t released a proper hit under the record label.
With the initiation of new musical acts such a Fireboy, Joeboy, and Rema flying with their genre of music, It’s normal to think of why Korede Bello is missing in action especially with help from the don of music, Don jazzy.
Presently, in an industry with different genre of music, it’s best to belive that korede bello can stage a comeback as he is planning to release a song soon.
You sure can’t forget fizzle with melodies like “Shole”, Perfect Gentleman” and his strong debut album “The Journey” which was the best in 2014; Sean Tizzle sure proved to be a hitmaker in his days.
He has battled to make an impact even though he has delivered melodies like Lotto, Contagious, Gyal Dem however none of those tunes made wave possibly due to managementt and publicity.
Sean Tizzle Is planning to make that rebound in 2020 and he has been promoting his new single “chargie”; he also got a boost from the popular singer cycle jean on a track set to be released February.
The ‘Oleku’ rapper is a ‘major’ artist and he already made a name for himself in the music industry, with three albums and a long list of singles and features in pop history.
Even though Ice Prince may have switched from being a rapper to a model and earning the coveted award of the coolest cat. His name a household name in terms of nig Nigerian rappers.
We hope in 2021 we would be blessed with singles from ice prince and not just features and dressing lectures.
